Kentwood Michigan Real Estate Market Report July-December 2013

 

Kentwood Michigan is a large suburban city southeast of Grand

Rapids, population under 50,000. It has manufacturing, shopping centers,

and lots and lots of residential housing. Kentwood Public Schools are

one of the largest school systems in the Grand Rapids area with over 9000

students and 16 buildings within a 24.25 square mile area.

2013  Real Estate Market Activity  July – December

 

Kentwood Active Listings = 147    $34,900 to $975,000

Pending Sales – 95

Sold Homes = 418

Average Sold Price = $ 133,511     

Sold Prices range from $ 11,000 to $ 420,000

 

Kentwood  homes are selling at a brisk rate,

and the average sale price is up about 9% from the

first of 2013.  The average sold price has leveled off in

last half, but home sales are still moving in this

community.

 

If you are thinking of buying a Kentwood home, interest

rates are still low, so don’t wait.  Getting a jumpstart on the spring

market is a good way to avoid major competition.
